五橋ベース(綴カフェ)を会場に、荒浜の丸い田んぼで育った餅米でもちつき体験を行いました。
春に育て始めた米が、稲刈り・脱穀・精米を経て、いよいよ餅になります!

蒸し上がったお米を石臼に入れたら、もちつきの始まりです。まずは杵で粒を潰しながら捏ねていきます。この作業を手早くやるのが肝心。

準備が整ったら、みんなで餅をついていきます。子どもから大人まで、参加者全員でついていきます。

みなさん沢山おかわりして、お腹いっぱいお餅を楽しんでいただきました!田植え、稲刈りに来てくださった方も多く、自分で手をかけたものはやっぱり一味違う喜びがありますね。
今年もまた6月上旬頃に田植えをする見込みです。次回の田植え〜稲刈り〜もちつきをお楽しみに。
