[6/01] Experience Rice-Planting at Marui-Tambo (Round Rice Field)

>> 日本語ページはこちら

It’s that time of year again! Join us at Megumi Kitchen’s Arahama Base to plant rice in our unique “Marui-Tambo (丸い田んぼ—Round Rice Field)”!

This is an exceptionally rare opportunity—not only in Japan but possibly worldwide—to experience rice planting in a perfectly circular rice paddy. Whether you want to try your hand at rice farming or simply enjoy the sensation of muddy soil, we warmly invite you to participate!

This year, we will be planting glutinous rice (もち米—used for making mochi, a traditional Japanese rice cake) again. Joining the rice planting will make the mochi-pounding event after the harvest even more meaningful and fun—it’s a great way to experience the full rice-growing cycle!

After the work is done, we’ll be serving curry and rice for lunch.
